QR Code Examples: What 12 Real Codes Contain

Most "QR code examples" pages show you finished designs. This one shows what is inside: the exact text a Wi-Fi, contact, email, text-message and link code carries, what a phone does with each, and where each kind of code earns its place.

QR Codes on Electronics: Setup, Manuals and Warranty

A buyer scans an electronics product at three different moments: comparing boxes in the shop, unpacking it at home, and years later when it stops working. Each one needs a different page, and the code on the device itself has to outlast the box, the manual and probably your website.

QR Codes in Print Marketing: 9 Pre-Press Checks

Flyers, posters, direct mail, catalogues and brochures all share one problem: the artwork goes to the printer long before anyone knows where the code should point, and nobody can take a printed run back. Here are the nine things to check before you sign off the proof.

How to A/B Test QR Codes and Trust the Result

Two flyers, two codes, one difference between them. Most QR "tests" are really two different weeks compared by eye. Here is how to set one up so the winner is the better version and not the sunnier Saturday, and how many scans it takes before a gap means anything.

QR Code vs Barcode: What Each Holds and Which to Use

A barcode holds a short number that means nothing until a database looks it up. A QR code holds the message itself and can be read by any phone. The real question is never which one is better. It is who is scanning, with what, and whether the code has to do anything beyond being read.

QR Code Generator Alternatives: Switching Without Dead Codes

Most searches for an alternative start with a bill, a trial that ended, or a code that stopped working. Before you pick the next provider: a static code needs no migration at all, a printed dynamic code cannot be moved by anyone, and the audit of what is on the wall decides your timeline — not the feature table.

QR Codes on Rental Equipment: Setup, Returns and Fault Reports

A rented item is the one object that is yours, in a stranger's hands, on a deadline — and it comes back. The code on it has to answer four questions in a driveway with no account and no patience, it cannot know whose hire it is, and the page that pays for the whole thing is the one where a customer reports a fault at 4pm on a Tuesday.

How to Scan a QR Code: Any Phone, No App, Even From a Screenshot

You almost certainly do not need an app. Every phone made in the last several years reads a QR code with the camera it shipped with — the reason people still search for this is that the built-in scanner is invisible until it works, and when it does not, nothing tells you why. Phone, screenshot, laptop, and the reasons a code will not read.

QR Codes on Screens: Slides, Webinars and Livestreams

A QR code exists to move someone from a surface they cannot click to a phone they are holding. A person watching a webinar is already at a keyboard. Whether a code on a screen earns its place depends entirely on where the viewer's hands are — and that one question decides the size, the timing, the corner it sits in, and whether it should be there at all.

QR Codes on Product Labels: What to Put Behind the Code

A label is the hardest surface a QR code has to work on: almost no room, a curved glossy substrate, and a print run you cannot recall once it ships. Which makes the two decisions that matter — what the code opens, and whether it can ever be changed — worth making before the artwork goes to print, not after.

QR Codes for Reviews and Feedback: Asking at the Right Moment

A QR code cannot make anyone write a review. What it can do is delete the thirty seconds between "I should leave them a review" and finding the right listing — and that gap is where almost all of them are lost. Where to put the ask, why the happy-path fork is a rule violation, and what a scan count is actually evidence of.

QR Codes for Parties, Invitations and Holiday Cards

An occasion code is not a business code with confetti on it. Two opposite things hide under the word: the invitation code that is dead in three weeks, and the keepsake code that has to still work in ten years. They want opposite decisions, and the date is a deadline you cannot patch.

QR Codes on Equipment: Manuals, Service History and Asset Tags

A QR code on a machine does not store its service history — it points at wherever that history already lives. That distinction decides everything else: one code per unit or per model, what survives a decade on a plant-room wall, and why a scan is never evidence a job was done.

QR Codes for Social Media: The Handoff From Paper to Phone

You have five handles and one square. A social QR code is not a follow button — it is a handoff between a physical surface and a phone, and most of the ways it fails are decided before you print it. Which handle to point at, why a code on a social post cannot work, and what the scan count does and does not tell you.

Where Should a QR Code Point? The Destination Is the Product

A QR code is a container for a URL. Everything people judge you on happens after the scan, on a page you chose — and the most common choice, the homepage, throws away the one thing the scan told you. What to point a code at, and why the length of that URL changes the code itself.

QR Codes at Events and Trade Shows: What Survives the Floor

A show floor is the most hostile environment you can put a QR code in, and the place they get used most. Thousands of phones on one contended network, codes read from four metres away, and handouts that get scanned three weeks after everyone has gone home.

QR Codes for Donations: Trust Is the Hard Part, Not the Code
